Adhesives & glue

Applications

UV + IR Applications in adhesives

IR drying and UV polymerisation of adhesives

Adhesives or glues have become very popular in the assembly and design of all kinds of products and production machines since they are increasingly durable, create a very strong force, can be removed when heated and help to assemble products very fast avoiding screws.

There are many different adhesives nowadays used, materials range from new UV and solvent acrylats, to natural or synthetic rubber.

The glue is brought on the materials by drops, spraying or blade distribution. Most popular applications are for adhesive tapes, lamintated foils and papers, electronics on high volumes production machines producing in a speed of 5-100 m/min.

Application areas are foils, tapes, band-aids, laminated papers, plastics, etc.

UV and IR is used to polymerize the UV acrylat or preheat with IR rubbers and eliminate the water solvents.
